Take a step back in time as you relax in our completely renovated home, furnished with beautiful antiques and lovely decorations. From the expansive, breezy, wicker furnished, wrap-around deck with ocean views, enter into a spacious foyer and note the beautiful antiques and oak staircase leading to the 7 bedrooms on the 2nd & 3rd floors. Entertain in the elegant antique furnished living room with ocean views, and a TV & DVD player, enjoy drinks at the rich mahogany bar with the ambiance of a European tavern, or watch TV in a cozy family room with a 32 inch flat screen cable HDTV, two leather sofas and adjacent full bath. Excluding the kitchen, there is seating for 22 people in the first floor living areas. Enjoy family dinners in the large country kitchen with beautiful cabinetry, Corian counters, and seating for 12 to 14 at the one-of-a-kind kitchen table, hand-crafted by Sue’s father, Rudi Schreiner. The adjacent tavern-like area seats 4 at the antique bar plus 6 more at a folding table provided for your convenience. We have many books and games for you to enjoy while staying at our home.
The bedrooms in this home are completely separated from the living areas, so anyone can enjoy quiet time in the privacy of their room. The second floor has 4 gorgeous bedrooms all with beautiful antique dressers and antique beds: one room has a queen bed, two rooms have full size (double) beds, one room has a double bed and a daybed. All of the second floor rooms have televisions (one with cable, two with attached DVD players, one with attached VCR), and quaint individual sinks. One room has fabulous ocean views, two have partial ocean views, and two have views of the giant Ferris wheel, beautifully lit at night! The charming full bath has been completely updated and has an antique "Second Class" cruise-liner medicine cabinet in memory of a former owner who reportedly was a ship captain!
The third floor has 3 more bedrooms, all with cable TV. The first is decorated in a patriotic theme and has a set of bunk beds, a single bed, a queen futon and two antique dressers. This room has an Xbox, games and lots of videos, so it’s a favorite for children! The second bedroom, aka the butterfly bedroom, has two double beds, a dresser and a large closet. Wake to unbelievable ocean views from your queen size bed in the luxurious master suite with a stained glass ceiling fan, TV & DVD player, and three spectacular antique dressers. The fabulous, private master bath has a beautiful new tiled shower, pedestal sink, and an over-sized Jacuzzi - perfect for two! The mattresses are in great condition, and the pillows and mattress pads are replaced every year, and as needed throughout the year.
The Main House includes two off-street parking spaces, 10 beach tags and WIFI internet access. Children under the age of 12 do not need beach tags. We have lots of boogie boards and buckets and shovels for you to use. Two fully enclosed outside showers with dressing rooms are also available for you to share with our other guests. You are welcome to use these late on the day of your departure so you can enjoy the beach for another full day!
If you desire privacy, need more space, or if someone in your group would like to avoid stairs, you may wish to rent one or more of our three first floor condos.
